Symrise expands, redesigns food and dairy lab | 2019-02-08 - Food Business News

TETERBORO, N.J.  — Symrise NA has expanded and redesigned a food and dairy applications laboratory in Teterboro for products across all segments of the sweet goods category.

The lab contains technological features designed to improve the capabilities of the company’s Sweet business unit, to ensure food safety and to enhance hygiene. A positive pressure air flow system keeps air clean and regulates temperature and humidity. The lab also features a fully computerized steam injection milk and dairy processor, a dedicated area for fruit preparations, a new flavor carousel system, and a walk-in freezer and cooler. Customers may work with the Symrise Sweet team at the facility.

The Sweet business unit works on dairy, bakery, confectionery, cereal and nutritional products.

“With this new lab, the Sweet team has the ability to take full advantage of our outstanding flavor products and our top-notch technical team,” said Khalid Farooq, technical team leader. “We are ready to work on any sweet application with efficiency, safety and the great flavor quality Symrise is known for worldwide.”
