SALISBURY, MD. – David Zucker has been named to the newly created position of senior vice-president of e-commerce and new ventures at Perdue Foods.

Mr. Zucker joins Perdue from Omaha Steaks International, where he was general manager and chief marketing officer since 2013. Before that, he spent two years as the c.m.o. for online vitamin and supplement company Vitacost.com, and he previously held a similar role with Gilt Groupe, an online retailer of fashion merchandise. Earlier in his career, Mr. Zucker held various marketing roles with Dell, Home Shopping Network, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and Priceline.

“E-commerce is an increasingly important part of the Perdue Foods growth plan, and we’re pleased that David Zucker is on board to lead our efforts,” said Mark McKay, president of Perdue Premium Poultry. “We have to meet consumers where they are today, which is more and more online, and expanding our presence is vital to drive new growth for our business and brands.”
